Imo Loree Curren, beloved mother, grandmother and sister, age 81 of Marengo passed away Thursday, September 19, 2024, at Bennington Glenn. She was born November 18, 1942, in Ashley to the late Elwin and Grace (Frazier) Helman.
Imo graduated from Marengo High School Class of 1960. She had worked as an Aide for over 25 years at Morning View Care Center and then as a driver for Morning View.
On June 5, 1960, Imo married Bobby Curren in Marengo, Ohio, he preceded her in death on August 15, 2017.
Left to cherish Imo’s memory are her two sons, Dale Curren of Marengo, and Dallas (Debra) Curren of Cardington; her grandchildren: Erica (Damien) Bigler of Cardington, Justin (Angela) Curren of San Diego, CA., and Jeremy (Leah) Curren of Ashley; seven great-grandchildren; her sister Brenda (Jack) Monk of Mount Gilead, as well as her stepbrother, Richard Evans.
In addition to her parents, Imo was preceded in death by her stepmom, Billie Gibson, her half-sister Candy Walker and her two half-brothers, Ray and Mike Evans and her grandson Cody Allen Curren and her brother-in-law Bill Walker.
Friends may call on Thursday, September 26, 2024, from 5:00 to 7:00PM at Gompf Funeral Home, 440 Center Street in Cardington. The funeral service will be held Friday, September 27, 2024, at the funeral home at 10:00AM with Pastor Brad Duncan officiating. Following the service, the burial will take place in Ashley Cemetery.
