Hunter Leslie Painter

Hunter Painter of Pine Swamp, PA passed away on March 13, 2024. Born to William and Grace Painter of Warwick Township, Chester County on August 1, 1928. He was the eighth child of their twelve children. Hunter attended Warwick High School and Graduated from Pennsylvania State University in 1957 with a degree in Agricultural Economics and Rural Sociology. In 1959 he moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota where he met Sandra, his wife of 62 years. They were married in St. Mark's Cathedral Minneapolis on August 20, 1960. Shortly after marriage they moved to Chester County, PA where Hunter sold insurance and eventually worked for his brother Hervey in real estate for 25 years. Hunter was very active in serving at Petra Church's food bank which he enjoyed very much.

Hunter is survived by four sons (Bill, Dan, Michael and Steve), two daughters in law (Martha and Sheila), eight grandchildren (Zach, Sierra, Hope, Elijah, Naomi, Isaiah, Hannah and Noah) and three siblings (Hervey, Narrie and Jesse).

His celebration of life service will be held on Tuesday, March 19th at 5:00 PM at Gompf Funeral Home, 440 Center Street Cardington, Ohio 43315.
