Harvey H. Mosher Sr., age 83 of Cardington passed away on October 12, 2025, after a brief
illness at Marion General Hospital. He was born on July 30, 1942, in Cardington to the late
Joseph F. and Mae C. (Casey) Mosher.
Harvey, a 1960 graduate of Cardington-Lincoln High School, was a dedicated and skilled
airplane mechanic who worked for Air Net in Columbus for many years. Harvey was a devoted
member of Gilead Friends Church, where he was actively involved in the community and his
faith.
Harvey enjoyed working on tractors, making maple syrup, tending to honeybees and had a
passion for trains. Above all, Harvey cherished time spent with his family, sharing moments of
laughter and love.
On August 4, 1962, Harvey married Vivian (Haynes) in Martinsville, Virginia, she survives in
Cardington.
In addition to his wife Vivian, Harvey is survived by their children: Harvey (Linnette) Mosher Jr
of Cardington and Barbara (Winfred) Ressler of Kidron; his grandchildren: Olivia (Jared)
Coblentz, Caleb (Kristen) Mosher, Rachel (Andrew) Flores, Anna Ressler, Sarah (Cameron)
Byer, Kristen (Andrew) Franklin; his six great-grandson's: Grayson, Huxley, Tanner, Mateo,
Josiah and Ollie; his siblings Clifford (Elizabeth) Mosher, Betty (Jerry) Butcher, and Ruth Alma
Mitchell, as well as his sister-in-law Bernita Mosher.
In addition to his parents, Harvey was preceded in death by two sisters Viola Rawson and Mary
Evelyn Moore and brother J. Harry Mosher; as well as his three brothers-in-law; Edward
Mitchell, David Rawson and Howard Moore.
Friends may call on Thursday, October 16, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Gompf Funeral
Service. 440 Center Street, Cardington, Ohio 43315. The funeral service will be held on Saturday,
October 18, 2025, in the Old Chapel at Gilead Friends Church, 4863 US-42, Mount Gilead, Ohio
43338 at 10:00 AM with Pastor Anna Ressler and Dr. Wayne Evans officiating. Following the
service, the burial will take place in the Union Cemetery.
