Gregory Edward Speelman

Gregory E. Speelman, age 62 of Centerburg passed away Wednesday, December 6, 2023, at Knox Community Hospital. He was born on February 9, 1961, to the late Archie A. and Margaret L. (Hawthorne) Speelman.

Gregory had worked for Wyandot Inc. for over 30 years. He loved to watch movies, Liar Liar and Mrs. Doubtfire were a few of his favorites, he also enjoyed watching Gold Rush on T.V. When Gregory wasn't inside, you could find him with a pole in his hand ready to go fishing. Most of all he loved being with his family and taking family vacations.

Gregory is survived by his daughter Julie (James) Jones of Ashley, two grandchildren: Leiland and Amiyah Jones as well as his two brothers: Archie Speelman of Columbus and Richard (Vickie) Speelman of North Carolina.

In addition to his parents, Gregory was preceded in death by his two brothers Roger Hawthrone and Wayne Speelman; and his two sisters Sally and Sissy Hawthorne.

A celebration of life service will be held on Friday, December 22, 2023, from 5:00 - 7:00 PM at Gompf Funeral Service, 440 Center Street, Cardington, Ohio 43315.

Those wishing to make a memorial contribution, if so desired, may be made to Gompf Funeral Home to assist the family with funeral expenses.
