Gregory Scott Donaldson

Gregory S. Donaldson Sr., age 54 of Mount Gilead passed away Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at Ohio State University Hospital. He was born on December 4, 1970, in Springfield, Ohio, to Larry Donaldson and Linda (Dodds) Steinberger.

Gregory worked as a welder for CYT and was a mason for over 20 years working with his best friend Joe (Melissa) Joan.

Gregory loved to work, when he wasn't working, he found peace and happiness in the great outdoors, always ready with a fishing rod in hand or planning his next camping trip. He liked sports and enjoyed watching football and baseball games. Most important to Gregory was his family and spending time with his children.

Gregory married Jessica Ealey; she preceded him in death on January 11, 2024.

In addition to his mother, Linda Steinberger of Tuscaloosa, AL., Gregory is survived by his children; Thad Donaldson, Brenden Donaldson, Trevis Donaldson, Gregory Donaldson Jr. and stepson Mason Trevino; two grandchildren: Kelton and Tristyn; and his siblings: Kelli (Jeff) Swift of Colorado Springs, Wayne (Nancy) Steinberger of Bellefontaine and Dave (Tammy) Donaldson of Tuscaloosa, AL.

Gregory was preceded in death by his father Larry Donaldson.

A Celebration of Gregory's life will be held on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, from 5:00 - 7:00 PM at Gompf Funeral Service, 440 Center Street, Cardington, Ohio 43315.
