Grace Pauline Fiant

Grace P. Fiant, age 97 formerly of Cardington died Thursday, October 18, 2018 at Bennington Glen Nursing Center. She was born on March 12, 1921 to the late Paul and Mabel (Holt) Jones.

Grace was a graduate of Ashley High School. She had been a nurse aid for Morrow County Hospital for 30 plus years. Grace enjoyed cooking for her family and being outside mowing lawn and tending her garden.

On August 9, 1939 Grace married Francis Fiant in Greenup, KY, who preceded her in death on October 13, 1995.

Grace is survived by a daughter, Wanda Emanuelson of Mooreseville, NC, and a son, Gary (Deb) Fiant of Cardington; sister, Evelyn Leienburger of Ashley; 7 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren; son-in-law Earl Brake of Cardington.

In addition to her husband and parents, Grace was preceded in death by a daughter, Pat Brake; grandson, Chad Fiant; 2 brothers, Donald and Richard Jones and son-in-law, Gary Emanuelson.

Friends may call on Sunday, October 21, 2018 from 3:00 to 5:00 pm at Gompf Funeral Home, 440 Center Street in Cardington.  A graveside service will be held Monday, October 22, 2018 at Glendale Cemetery at 11:00 am with Pastor Victoria Troutman officiating.
