Gloria Jean (Casperson) Mason

Gloria J. Mason, age 84 of Cardington passed away Wednesday, August 24, 2022, at Riverside Methodist Hospital. She was born on May 26, 1938, in St Mary's, Ohio to James S. and Alma C. (Layman) Casperson who preceded her in death.

Gloria was a homemaker who took pride in taking care of her family. She had also worked at Starlite where she met her husband James as well as the Travelers Lodge and the Salvation Army. She enjoyed working on puzzles and making birthday cards for her family. She also enjoyed playing card games with her family with Canasta and Four Corners being her two favorite games. Gloria enjoyed eating marshmallows around a campfire with her family as well as taking road trips to various places.

On February 3, 1963, she married James Richard Mason, he preceded her in death on March 31, 2011.

Left to cherish Gloria's memory are her children Gearld (Loretta) Mason of Cardington and Cheryl (Jim) Prater of Marion, and her daughter in law Angela Mason of Marion; nine grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren with one on the way, and one great-great grandchild.

In addition to her parents and husband, Gloria was preceded in death by her children Debbie Mason, Jerry Lee Mason, and James R. Mason Jr.; sisters, Betty Grace, Nancy Hendricks, Kathryn Yaney, Mary Margaret Casperson and Barbara Ellen Casperson; one great grandchild Tiffany.

A graveside service will take place on Friday, August 26th, 2022, at the Chapel Heights Memory Gardens 2622 Marion-Upper Sandusky Road, Marion, Ohio 43302 at 3:00 PM.
