Gilbert Allen Rose

Gilbert Allen Rose 63, of Marengo, Ohio formerly of Bay Port, Michigan, went to be with the Lord on Monday, December 2, 2024, at his home. He was born on March 9, 1961, to Robert Lee and Mary Jane Rose in Bucyrus, Ohio.

Gilbert was a successful builder, owning Rose Construction for a number of years, then Gilbert Rose Builders, then G&R Construction a while after.

Gilbert was an avid Harley Davidson rider for many years as well as a wide collector of old cars. He could rebuild a car like it was as easy as making a sandwich. He will be missed by his entire family and friends.

Gilbert is survived by his wife, Frida, his children: Tierney Rose and Scienna Nieschulz; his stepchildren: Debb (Dewey) Smith, and Dean McCurdy; his grandchildren: Baillie, Chazz, Rylan, Nevaeh, Aiyana, Alivia, Samuel, Kylee, Issac, Korbin and Kenzleigh: as well as his very best friend Joe Wise, along with sisters Ruth, Diane and Tina.

In addition to his parents, Gilbert was preceded in death by his son, Jeremey Rose and his siblings Rita and Mike.

Friends may call on Monday, December 9, 2024, from 3:00 to 4:00 PM at Gompf Funeral Home, 440 Center Street in Cardington, with the funeral service directly following at 4:00 PM with Pastor Aaron Jaffee officiating.
