Gerald Linley Fowble Jr.

Gerald "Gary" L. Fowble Jr., age 74 of Cardington died Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at his home with his loving wife of 52 years by his side. He was born on April 26,1947 to the late Gerald L. Fowble Sr. and Betty (Brown) Wallace.

Gary graduated from Cardington-Lincoln High school in 1966. After high school Gary served in the United States Army where he was honorably discharged. Gary had a passion for detailing cars, this led him to detail cars for Buyers Subaru in Columbus and McDaniel Motors in Marion.

In his free time Gary loved to ride his bicycle, he participated in the Popcorn 100 and the Hot Tamale. If he wasn't tinkering in the garage, you could find him visiting flea markets and auto swap meets. Gary enjoyed anything to do with cars or car shows. Gary also enjoyed camping and traveling with his wife.

On January 26,1969, Gary married Helen Blanton in Dunlap, KS., who survives in Cardington.

In addition to his wife, Gary is survived by his two sisters, Shirley Robinson of Lincoln, NE., and Jerry Osborne of Galion, Oh.

In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded in death by his sisters Audrey Newbury and Vicky Murray.

A celebration of life for Gary will be held on August 14th at 11:00 AM, at the Fowble residence, please contact funeral home for the address.
