Fredrick Eugene Barber

Fredrick E. Barber, age 75 of Cardington died Wednesday, October 6, 2021, at Marion General Hospital. He was born on August 20, 1946, to Kenneth and Julia (Jordan) Barber who preceded him in death.

Fredrick was a graduate of Buckeye Valley. After high school he joined the U.S. Air Force where he served honorably. Fredrick retired from PPG. In his free time Fredrick enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, yard work and collecting John Wayne memorabilia. He liked Ohio State and Cleveland Browns football.

On May 17, 1975, Fredrick married Charlotte Ann Foltz in Mount Gilead, Ohio, who preceded him in death on November 26, 2018.

Fredrick is survived by his daughter Christina (Christopher) Redman, two grandchildren Chessa and Channing Redman, his sister Bonnie Garner of Cardington, and his brother Kenneth (Joanne) Barber of Delaware.

In addition to his parents, Fredrick was proceeded in death by his brother James Barber.

Friends may call on Monday, October 11, 2021, from 12:00 to 1:00 pm at Gompf Funeral Home, 440 Center Street in Cardington. The funeral service will follow at 1:00pm. Following the service, the burial will take place in the Marlborough Cemetery with full military honors.
