Frank Anthony LaVenia, beloved son, husband, brother, uncle and friend, born on July 26, 1957, in Marion, Ohio to Gus A. LaVenia and Jeneane "Jeanie" L. (Townsend) Jackson. Frank entered the glorious gates of heaven on March 17, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories that will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
A man of simple pleasures, Frank found immense joy in bowling with his wife and friends, as well as watching wrestling every night on TV. An avid sports fan, he passionately cheered for his favorite teams, the Eagles and the Bills. He enjoyed spending time with his wife, joking around, and making bets against her favorite teams just to be funny.
Frank worked as a caretaker for Marca at the Rest Area on U.S. Highway 23 for 19 years until his retirement in 2024, embodying a strong work ethic and commitment to his role. His kindness and warm spirit touched the lives of many, making him a beloved figure in the community.
On June 8, 1996, Frank married Helen Marie (Zornes) in Green Camp, Ohio, she survives in Marion.
Frank was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Helen LaVenia, and a cherished son to his mother, "Jeanie" (Frank) Jackson of Green Camp, he is survived by his sister Robin (Buzz) Keaton of Marion and brother Darrell (Margaret) LaVenia as well as numerous nieces and nephews, as well as extended family members who loved him very much.
In addition to his father Gus Lavenia, Frank was preceded in death by his son Timmy LaVenia and his brother Mark LaVenia Sr.
A memorial service for Frank will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Marion Enterprise Baptist Church, 130 Orton Street, Marion, Ohio 43302 with Pastor Jimmy McIntire officiating.
