Florence "Sue" Suzette (Kennedy) Osborne

Florence S. "Sue" Osborne, age 71, of Caledonia, died Friday, October 14, 2022, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Sue was born November 13, 1950, in Marion, the daughter of William R and Margie L. (Bailey) Kennedy. She was a 1969 graduate of Harding High School and a member of Dayspring Wesleyan Church. On March 17, 1972, Sue married Charles R Osborne, Jr. in the Cardington Church of the Nazarene, and he survives. Sue is also survived by her children Charles (Rachel) Osborne III, Wesley Osborne, Ken (Cara) Osborne, Nicole (Beau) Hummel, all of Caledonia; and Cameron (Brooke) Osborne of Kent; 17 grandchildren Bryson, Madison, Samantha, Eden, Corban, Reagan, Charles IV, Kennedy, Sidney, Hailee, Ariana, Elise, Riley, Colette, Chloe, Jackson, and Isaac; sisters Diana (Ed) Boutwell of Carey and Shelia Kennedy of Marion; and sister-in-law Lil Smith of Waldo.

Sue was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Margie Kennedy; in-laws, Charles and Betty (Postell) Osborne; daughter-in-law Sarah Osborne; sisters, Roberta Klingel and Sharon Kennedy; brother William Kennedy; and brother-in-law Keith Smith.

Sue loved her Savior, her family, and her church. She had the gift of hospitality and loved entertaining people in her home. She loved to read the Bible, led Bible Bowl for many years, and taught Sunday School classes. Her hobbies were cross-stitching, cooking for friends and family, making countless sugar cookies for school, Dayspring Community Sports, and voting days at Dayspring. She loved supporting her kids and grandkids at all their music and sporting events.

Friends may call on Tuesday, October 18, at Dayspring Wesleyan Church, 2431 Marion-Mt. Gilead Rd in Marion from 4:30-7:00 pm. The funeral service will be held at Dayspring on Wednesday, October 19, at 10:00 am. The burial will follow the funeral service in the Caledonia cemetery.
