Esper "Jeff" J. Lanum, beloved father, grandfather, and brother, age 64 of Fulton passed away Friday, August 22, 2025, at his home. He was born on April 3, 1961, in Mount Gilead to Billy Joe and Sandra (Mattingly) Lanum Sr.
Jeff had worked as a machinist for HPM in Mount Gilead and later worked for Dan Lanum Foundation Construction as a mason. In his free time he enjoyed fishing and watching NASCAR. Jeff was an avid OSU Buckeyes fan. He loved his pet parakeets and tending to his house plants.
In addition to his mother Sandra of Cardington, Jeff is survived by his son Jeffrey (Kara) Lanum of Fulton, his two grandchildren: Carmen and Benjamin Lanum; and his siblings: Christine (Richard) Kepler, Billy (Teresa) Lanum Jr., Rebecca Berridge, Susan (Ken) King, Kathleen Pipes, Diana Baily, Laura Davis, Michael (Crystal) Lanum, Juliet (Ed) Wilkes, and Wayne Lanum.
In addition to his father, Jeff was preceded in death by his brother Daniel Lanum.
A graveside service for Jeff will be held on Friday, August 29, 2025, at 11:00 AM in Fulton Cemetery.
