Ella Hardman Obituary

Ella F. Hardman, age 91 of Cardington passed away Wednesday June 17, 2026, at Woodside Village Care Center in Mount Gilead. She was born on March 20, 1935, to the late Paul and Martha (Lyle) Gossett.

Ella was a 1953 graduate of Cardington-Lincoln High School where she was a cheerleader, participated in FFA and was voted the Homecoming Queen. She had worked as an Administrative Assistant at the Ohio Department of Natural Resources and retired at age 80.

Ella enjoyed socializing, which included playing Euchre, which she excelled at. She enjoyed reading and loved animals. Ella, at one time, played softball on an all-women's league.

On March 27, 1954, Ella married the love of her life, Mark Hardman, in Richmond, Indiana. He preceded her in death on November 1, 2006.

Ella is survived by her children, Debbie Westbrook of Cardington, Chris (Nancy) Hardman of Athens, and Jonni (Terry) Bloecher of Mount Gilead; five grandchildren, Heather, Nate, Dylan, Colton, and Gunnar; and four great-grandchildren, Lennon, Phoebe, Sebastian, and Sloan.

In addition to her parents and husband, Ella was preceded in death by her seven siblings, John, Bill, Dutch, Lyle, Gerald, Don, and Martha Gossett.

A celebration of Ella's life will be held at a later date, and the obituary will be updated with that information.
