Elizabeth "Beth" Louise (DuVall) Whitaker

Elizabeth L. Whitaker, a beloved sister and devoted friend, passed away peacefully on July 20, 2025, at the age of 62, at Knox Community Hospital. She was born on September 13, 1962, to James and Maryellen (Jacobs) DuVall.

Beth was a proud graduate of Livoak High School in California, where she finished her education in 1980. Her passion for learning continued as she earned an associate's degree in business administration from Bliss College in Columbus. Throughout her life, Beth dedicated herself to caring for others as a compassionate Nurse Aide. Her warm heart and gentle spirit touched many lives, and she will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Beth had a zest for life and a wide range of interests. She enjoyed immersing herself in the past through Civil War reenactments, and found joy in reading, listening to music, playing on her computer, and camping in the great outdoors. Local festivals and fairs brought her much happiness, as she loved connecting with her community and embracing the simple pleasures in life.

Beth is survived by her sisters Judith (Matthew) Fischer of Fredericktown, Teneya Devore, and Gerie Oswalt of Arkansas, her brother Brian Jacobs of Columbus, and her niece Tiffany Hall-Fischer of Fredericktown.

A Celebration of Beth's Life will be held on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at Mount Gilead State Park, 4119 OH 95, Mount Gilead, Ohio 43338, Shelter 1, from 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM.
