Earlaine Amy (Magee) Schubert

Earlaine A. "Duggie" Schubert, age 89 of Marengo was welcomed home on Sunday, September 19, 2021. She was born on June 20, 1932, to Earl and Mattie (Evans) Magee who preceded her in death.

She was a graduate of Northeast High School in Pennsylvania and became a homemaker taking care of her family.

She was a loving, generous, caring person who knew no strangers. Her love of life, family, and friends was shared with her outside critters as well, feeding the birds no matter how deep the snow, wild turkeys, racoons, cats and especially "the squirrels."

On November 28, 1953, Earlaine married Edward Schubert in Erie PA. who preceded her in death on January 25, 1997.

Earlaine is survived by her daughters Laura (Jeff) White of Zion, IL, Kathy (Charlie) Ackerman of Cardington, and Pam Fanning of Marengo, brother Robert Magee of Hammons Port, NY., ten grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her parents and husband, Earlaine was preceded in death by her daughter Kim Lester, sister Shirley Ramsey, brother Buddy (Magee) Heaps and granddaughter Arly.

Friends may call on Friday, September 24, 2021, from 11:00am to 1:00 pm at Gompf Funeral Home, 440 Center Street in Cardington. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm with Pastor Paul Turner officiating. Following the service, the burial will take place in the Glendale Union Cemetery.
