Earl S. Bowsher, age 74 of Marengo, passed away Thursday, June 26, 2025, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on June 18, 1951, to Charles and Lula (Powers) Bowsher who preceded him in death.
Earl had built a solid career in construction through years of hard work and dedication. Known for his attention to detail and strong work ethic, Earl took pride in seeing the
tangible results of his efforts in the structures he helped create.
Over the years Earl was involved with the Olive Green Eagle Scouts and Marengo Volunteer Fire Department, always willing to pitch in and help when needed. After his retirement from working construction, he enjoyed spending most of his time at the Cardinal Center Campground. Some of his most memorable times were spent with his
fishing pole in a good body of water or sitting quietly while hunting, collecting his thoughts. He also enjoyed a nice peaceful ride on his motorcycle.
Earl's favorite things in life were his family and friends. He cherished the time spent with loved ones, whether it was sharing a meal, telling stories, or simply enjoying each other's company. Earl's warmth and loyalty made those around him feel valued, and he always made time for the people who mattered most to him.
Earl is survived by his significant other of 25 years, Mary Harmony of Marengo; his children, Racheal Perez of New Mexico and John Bowsher of Missouri; three sisters: Rose Adkins, Martha (Bill) Phillips, and Marie Wright all of Marengo; special sister, Vicky Adkins of Cardington; special nephews, Cody Adkins and Frank Adkins of Marengo; nine grandchildren, Jason Mulliken, Alexandrea Martinez, Draven Heath, Darion King, Tucker, Tanner, Tackett, Taylor Bowsher and Tristen Foreman three great-grandchildren, Brandi and Elijah Martinez and Anya Mulliken.
A celebration of life potluck will be held for Earl at the Cardinal center in Marengo on July 2nd at 3:00 PM. Feel free to bring pictures and stories to share.
