Denver Lee Walker

Denver L. Walker, age 72 of Mount Gilead died Saturday, October 19, 2019 unexpectedly at his home. He was born on July 7, 1947 to Vencine and Marie (Noland) Walker.

Denver served honorably in both the United States Army and Air Force. He was a member of the New Testament Missionary Baptist Church.

Denver is survived by his mother, Marie Walker; sisters, Sandra (Carl) McCoy of Johnstown and Sharon Fisher (Don) Peadon of Mt. Gilead and brother, Vince Walker, Jr. of Florida; nieces and nephews: Angie (Verne) Hylton, Kelly (Justin) Emrich, Hannah Hylton, Steven Hylton, Xander Emrich, Adam Walker, Terri Walker, and Shannon Walker; cousins, Anna Lee (Paul) Pittman of New Martinsville, WV, and Blanche (Raymond) Beltz of Marion; and special friend, Bill Gibson of Marion.

Denver was preceded in death by his father Vencine Walker, Sr.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 24, 2019 from 10:00 – 11:00 am at Gompf Funeral Home, 440 Center Street, Cardington, Ohio 43315. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 am. Immediately following, Denver’s burial will take place in Maple Grove Cemetery with full military honors.
