Darren James Shade

Darren J. Shade, beloved father, son, brother and grandfather, age 55 of Mount Gilead, passed away Thursday, January 2, 2025. He was born on September 21, 1969, in Mount Gilead to John R. Shade and Nancy L. (Groves) White.

Darren was a 1987 graduate of Mount Gilead High School. He had worked for Automation Tooling System as an Automation Technician.

Darren was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was a sports fanatic and loved to watch any of the Ohio sport teams play. Most of all Darren enjoyed spending time with his family.

Darren is survived by his father, John Shade of Mount Gilead and his mother, Nancy (Paul) White of Ringgold, GA., his son, Brock (Taylor) Shade of Sunbury, his daughter, Hope (Gary) VanDyke of Cardington; granddaughter, Grace Shade, and his sister Dawn (Terry) Fraizer of Mount Gilead, as well as his niece, Tori Fraizer and nephew, Dustin Fraizer.

A celebration of Darren's life will be held on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, from 4:00 - 7:00 PM at Gompf Funeral Service, 440 Center Street, Cardington, Ohio 43315.
