Dale Adams Obituary

Dale E. Adams, age 60 of Cardington passed away Monday, May 29, 2023, at his home after a long battle with heart disease and a short battle with lung cancer. He was born on December 13, 1962, in Mount Gilead to Jerry E. and Sarah A. (Ward) Adams.

Dale graduated with the 1982 Highland High School and Tri-Rivers Career Center classes. He had worked in construction and as a mechanic.

Dale was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles 3614 of Sunbury. He was a founding member of the Morrow County Antique Tractor Association. He enjoyed drag racing with his best friend Larry Sutherland. He was a mechanic who loved cars and tinkering on anything. He was a Jack of all trades Master of many. Dale enjoyed hunting and looking at his trophy bucks on the wall as well as fishing in his pond at his home. Most of all he loved watching his grandkids sporting events and spending time with them.

You could always hear Dale saying, "Toughen Up Buttercup".

On June 23, 1984, Dale married Cathy Mitchell at Alum Creek Friends Church, she survives in Cardington.

In addition to his mother Sarah Adams of Marengo and his wife, Dale is survived by his daughters Stacie (Charles) Sias of Cardington and Stefene (EJ) Manders of Florida; seven grandchildren: Lane, Eli, Tessa, Alex, Roman, Raegan and Aella; his siblings: Kitty (Doyle) Whited of Marengo, Sandy (Paul) Ulrey of Cardington, Terry Adams of Mount Gilead, Tracy (Anna) Adams of Mount Gilead, J.R. Adams of Marengo, sister-in-law Kimberly Mitchell of Cardington, and very special niece Michelle (Mark) and Mya Tucker of Fredericktown, numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his father Jerry, Dale was preceded in death by his brother-in-law Carlos Mitchell and beloved great niece Mira Tucker as well as his father and mother-in-law Ike and Jo Mitchell.

A celebration of Life will be held Saturday June 3, 2023, starting at 2:30 PM at the home of Dale.

In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to help assist the Adams family with funeral expenses.
