Cynthia L. Sykes, age 57, of Cardington died Friday January 7, 2022, in the Marion General Hospital. She was born March 3, 1964, in Columbus to the late Jackson D. Hamilton and Mary Jean Miller.
Cynthia was a 1982 graduate of DeSales High School. She worked selling insurance for United Health Care. Cynthia was a member of the Vineyard Church in Fulton.
Cynthia had a passion for animals, especially dogs and was a big supporter of the Morrow County Humane Society. In her younger years, Cynthia was an avid snow skier. She enjoyed watching T.V., where paranormal shows were her favorite. She was a big fan of Lucille Ball and collected her memorabilia. Cynthia was a season ticket holder with the Columbus Blue Jackets and one of their biggest supporters.
Left to cherish her memory are Cynthia's husband, Tony L. Sykes and her sister Stephanie (Charles) Brewer of Radnor; nephews, Wade Funk and Christopher (Lindsey) Funk; nieces, Jill Estepp, Priscilla Meeks, and Amanda (Dustin) Wagner; sister-in-law, Tammy (Jose) Molina; numerous other nieces and nephews; and dogs Buster and Poco.
In addition to her parents, Cynthia was preceded in death by her nephew David Estepp and dogs, Cole and Molly
Friends and family may call on Monday January 17, 2022, from noon until the start of the Funeral Service at 2:00P.M. at the Gompf Funeral Home, 440 Center St. in Cardington. Pastor Jerry Stephens will officiate at the Funeral.
