Cynthia Lou (Allensworth) Spengler

Cynthia Spengler,72, of Marengo, Ohio died Monday, July 20,2020 at Riverside Hospital following a brief illness. She was born on April 8, 1948 in Quincy Illinois to the late Floyd & Hazel (Jones) Allensworth.

Cynthia was a 1966 graduate of Liberty High School in Liberty, Illinois, and a member of Laurel Methodist Church. Her professional career included working as a Cartographer for the Illinois Department of Transportation and was a licensed Real Estate agent for over 20 years with Re/Max. Cynthia was a devote “Foodie”, owned and operated Table Manners, a high end cookware store that also offered cooking class; a member of the Junior League in Springfield with two published recipes to her credit. Many knew her as “Mom” to the neighborhood kids.

She is survived by her husband, Tim Spengler whom she married in Zephyr Cove, Nevada on August 11, 1979; her sons Luke (Rasa Linkauskaite) Spengler and Jacob (Krysta Sparks) Spengler, both of Cardington; siblings Mike Allensworth, Chris Allensworth and Pat Lair.

In addition to her parents, Cynthia was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 1 sister.
