Cynthia D. (Standley) Sherman, age 52 of Cardington died Thursday, January 6, 2022, at Marion General Hospital. She was born on October 23, 1969, in Mount Gilead to Larry and Barbara (Goff) Standley who survive in Mount Gilead.
Cynthia was a 1988 graduate of Highland High School. She worked in finances/accounting for Earl Bennett and her husband Joe. Cynthia was a member of Fresh Faith Community Church of the Nazarene, where she was the secretary and treasurer. Cynthia liked gardening, music (especially music by Garth Brooks). She enjoyed being around her nieces and nephews and supporting them. She loved going to tractor pulls with Joe, going to Nationals in Bowling Green. She cherished going on trips and spending time with her family.
On May 11, 2002, Cynthia married Joe Sherman, he survives in Cardington.
In addition to her parents and husband, Cynthia is survived by her brother Luke (Tina) Standley of Mineral City, her sister Sarah (Scott) Enfinger of Seymour, TN.; two stepsons Gerid (Amber) Globe; their children Angelia, Levi and Kaden Globe, and stepson Zack Burwell, her nieces and nephews: Lucas, Madison and Jackson Standley, Peyton (Tyler) Benfield, Micah and Chloe Enfinger.
Friends may call on Monday, January 10, 2022, from 12:00 to 1:00 PM at Fresh Faith Community Church, 4444 OH-95, Mount Gilead, Ohio 43338. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM with Pastor TJ McNew officiating. Following the service, the burial will take place in the Marengo Cemetery.
