Clive A. Jenkins, age 85 passed away on November 8, 2024, at Marion General Hospital. He was born on August 8, 1939, in Cardington to the late Orlando Clive and Edna E. (George) Jenkins.
Clive was a 1958 graduate of Cardington-Lincoln High School. He married his high school sweetheart Mary Lou (Daniel) who he crowned homecoming queen. They were married on January 10, 1959, in the Center E.U.B Church, they enjoyed 57 years of marriage until her passing on March 18, 2016.
He went on to work for the Erie-Lackawanna Railroad, had farmed for many years, and later retired from Covert Manufacturing as a pattern maker.
Clive was a member of Marion Salem Church. Church was such an important part of his life; he loved his church family and even played church league basketball until his mid 40's.
In his free time Clive enjoyed watching OSU sports and Boxing. He loved to garden as well as sitting around and telling stories about his younger sports days and about all the games he played.
Clive is survived by his cherished children, son Steve Jenkins of Prospect, daughters Robin (Ben) Clinger, and Julie (Rick) Roth both of Cardington; his ten grandchildren: Emily, Josh, Erica, Ryan, Nikki, Jeremy, Adam, Derek, Kaley and Reanna; numerous great-grandchildren; and his sisters: Rozella (Jim) Rowland, and Rodella Covert. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched.
In addition to his parents and wife, Clive was preceded in death by his brothers Dalton and Roderick Jenkins.
Friends may call on Friday, November 15, 2024, from 1:30 to 3:00 PM at Marion Salem Global Methodist Church, 1640 Salem Road, Caledonia, Ohio 43314, with the funeral service directly following at 3:00 PM. Following the service, the burial will take place in the Bethel Cemetery.
