Clifford Allan Miley

Clifford A. Miley, age 87 of Cardington passed away Monday, August 7, 2023, at his home. He was born on September 24, 1935, in Waldo to the late Albert C. and Hazel M. (Shaw) Miley.

Clifford was a 1953 graduate from Waldo High School. After graduating he served honorable in the United States Army from 1958- 1960. Clifford worked in construction where he did painting, carpentry and home remodeling.

Clifford was a member of the Waldo, Marion and Prospect American Legions, a member of the Marion V.F.W., as well as the Waldo Sportsman's Club. He spent time going to Lake Cumberland with the Harris family. Clifford also enjoyed painting and watching TV, especially old westerns. He loved to mow his yard and loved going to the door to watch the crops grow and for deer.

Clifford is survived by his sisters Betty Miley of Edison, Pauline Conant, and Esther Tolle both of Cardington, numerous nieces, and nephews as well as his caretakers Tom and Suzanne Harris.

In addition to his parents, Clifford was preceded in death by his three sisters Helen Pierce, Goldie Cline, and Mildred Wallace.

Friends may call on Monday, August 14, 2023, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Gompf Funeral Home, 440 Center Street in Cardington with the funeral service directly following at 12:00 PM. Following the service, the burial will take place in the Waldo Cemetery with full military honors.
