Clarence "Clancy" Wyatt Jr. Obituary

Clarence E. "Clancy" Wyatt Jr., loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend age 65 of Edison, died on Friday, January 2, 2026, at the Marion General Hospital. He was born on April 15, 1960, in Galion to the late Clarence E. Sr. and Lavina M. (Throckmorton) Wyatt.

Clancy began working at a young age alongside his father in the Ohio Tree Transplant business that his father owned. Through long days of hands-on work, he learned the value of hard work, responsibility, and dedication. Those early experiences helped shape his strong work ethic and respect for family and craftsmanship. Using those tangibles, he learned working alongside his father, Clancy went on to own and operate Clancy's landscaping for 14 years. Most recently, Clancy was proud to own and operate the American Grub alongside his wife, Monica. Together, they built a welcoming business rooted in hard work, teamwork, and a shared commitment to their community. The American Grub reflected their dedication to family, good food, and serving others.

Clancy found great joy riding his Harley-Davidson trike, embracing the freedom of the open road. He especially treasured the many trips he took to Marblehead on Lake Erie, where the ride and the destination were equally meaningful. Those journeys became some of his favorite memories, combining his love of motorcycles with time spent in a place he truly enjoyed. Clancy had a deep love for classic cars and trucks, admiring their timeless style and craftsmanship. He also enjoyed rock and roll music, which matched his energetic spirit and appreciation for the classics. Together, these passions reflected his love for nostalgia, character, and the enduring things in life. Clancy loved sitting around campfires, sharing stories and laughs while enjoying a few beers with his close circle of friends. Though he kept his circle small, the impact he had on others made it larger than he ever realized. Those simple moments by the fire captured his warmth, loyalty, and the quiet way he connected with so many.

Above all else, Clancy was a proud patriot who held a deep and unwavering love for God, freedom, and his country. He believed strongly in the values this nation was built upon and lived his life with gratitude for the freedoms he cherished. His faith and patriotism guided his actions and shaped the way he cared for his family, friends, and community.

Left to cherish Clancy's memory is his wife of 25 years, Monica Rollins of Edison; six children: Angelia (Gary Sr.) Renwick of South Dakota, Cody Wyatt of Cardington, Autumn Rollins of Marion, Alana (Asher) Rumple of Edison, Travis (Roger) Wyatt of Columbus, and Josiah (Kayla) Schirtzinger of Sunbury; five grandchildren: Gary Jr. and Olivia Renwick, Banks Rumple, and Colson and Miles Schirtzinger; two siblings: Carla (Terry) Derryberry of Michigan and Clayton (Lisa) Wyatt of Mount Gilead; as well as his best friend, Shane Mayberry.

In addition to his parents, Clancy was preceded in death by his brother Christopher Wyatt.
