Christopher M. Skeens, beloved father, grandfather and brother, age 73 of Marengo passed away Monday, September 9, 2024, at his home. He was born on December 2, 1950, in Delaware to the late Edward E. and Vena O. (Bowling) Skeens.
Christopher was a 1969 graduate of Buckeye Valley High School. He had worked as a hydraulic machinist at ABEX and Stover Industries in Delaware.
Christopher was a member of the Eagles in Delaware Post #376. He liked NASCAR, playing his guitar, singing, tinkering with his miniatures and making things. Christopher loved to ride motorcycles when he was younger. He was known for always going out of his way at gatherings to make sure everyone felt included.
Christopher will be forever remembered by his three children: Mike (Marlena) Skeens of Bellville, Justin (Laura) Skeens of Ashley and Cheyenne (AJ Willey) Biggs of Columbus; his two grandchildren: Samantha Skeens and JayDee Skeens; his sisters: Betty (Charles) Kerr of Delaware and Jenny Davenport of Delaware, as well as the mother of his children, Goldie Saum of Marengo.
In addition to his parents, Christopher was preceded in death by two brothers: Phil and Elvie Skeens and his sister Lucy Buckley.
To honor Christopher's life, friends may call on Saturday, September 14, 2024, from 1:00 to 4:00 PM at Gompf Funeral Home, 440 Center Street in Cardington.
