Cheryl Elaine (Thomas) Kinsell

Cheryl Kinsell, age 60 of Cardington passed away Sunday, June 16, 2024, at Marion General Hospital. She was born on May 4, 1964 to Howell G. and Mary Lou (VanGorden) Thomas.


Cheryl was a 1982 graduate of Marion Harding High school and had earned a certificate in cosmetology. Cheryl currently worked as a Personal Care Assistant for Willowbrook Christian Communities.

Cheryl loved spending time with her granddaughter, Madilyn. She also enjoyed doing word searches. Cheryl liked driving around with her son, sharing margaritas and wine and watching soap operas together.


On May 13, 1989 in Marion, Cheryl married Gale Kinsell and he survives in Cardington.

In addition to her husband, Cheryl is survived by two children: Amanda (Kyle) Lacey of Hilliard and Matthew Kinsell of Cardington; granddaughter Madilyn Lacey; and brother, Gordon (Ann) Thomas of Marion

Cheryl was preceded in death by both of her parents.

Friends may call on Thursday June 27, 2024 from 5:00 until 7:00PM at Gompf Funeral Home, 440 Center Street in Cardington.
