Charles Harry Prince, age 92 of Cardington, Ohio passed away Thursday, February 20, 2025, at his home surrounded by family and friends. He was born on January 1, 1933, in Cincinnati to the late Harry and Laverne (Kingery) Prince.
Charles was a 1952 graduate of BellPoint High School. He went on to served faithfully in the United States Air Force from 1952 until his honorable discharge in 1956. He was a member of Westfield Community Church, the Operating ENG Local 18, as well as a lifetime member of the AMVETS and VFW.
Charles was an adventurer, spending several years treasure seeking off the coast of Florida, and being part of the recovery company that discovered the San Jose. Later on, he travelled to the Yukon to pan for gold.
On October 5, 1985, Charles married Mary (Miller), she preceded him in death.
Left to cherish Charles memory is his children: Lori (Todd) Wernicke of Cincinnati, Tobbi (Shawn) Justice of Maryland, Carrie Acker of Wisconsin, Andy Prince of Cardington, Kathy (Doug) Bishop of Minford; stepson Jeff Reed, ten grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, his siblings: Sue Bastian of Bend, OR. and Larry (Penny) Prince of Florida, and nephews, a niece, great nephews and nieces and a great great nephew.
In addition to his parents and his wife, Charles was preceded in death by his stepsons, Clint and James Reed, as well as his brother, James Prince.
Charles was buried in a private ceremony in the Alton Cemetery
