Casey Rae Adams

Casey Rae Adams, beloved mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend, age 44 of Cardington passed away Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at Riverside Hospital with her loving family by her side. She was born on February 13, 1980, in Mount Gilead to Thomas and Gina (Waddell) Adams.

Casey was a 1998 graduate of Cardington-Lincoln High School. After graduation she went on to earn her associates degree from Marion Technical College and her Massage Therapy License from the American Institute of Alternative Medicine. Casey was self-employed making floral arrangements and owned Helping Hands Massage Therapy.

Casey loved traveling to the beach in Florida. She also enjoyed going to concerts with her daughters and family. She cherished time spent with her family, her friends and her dogs Gemma James and Dixie. Casey valued her time crafting and making floral arrangements for special occasions. She was also a giver who would stop at no length to help anyone in need.

Left to cherish Casey's memory is her father Tom Adams of Cardington, her two daughters Laney (Michael Kegley) Sherbourne of Mansfield and Chloe Sherbourne of Mount Gilead, her sister Betsy (Aaron Niederkohr) Adams of Cardington, and brother Jesse (Logan) Adams of Marengo, her nieces and nephews: Owen, Rikki, Hildy, Brayson, Ridge, Grainger, Breckon and Emmalynn; as well as her dear friend Jen Gompf. Casey leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and courage that will forever be remembered by her family and friends.

Casey was preceded in death by her mother Gina Adams and her son Gabriel Sherbourne.

Friends may call on Saturday, November 2, 2024, from 2:00-5:00 PM with the funeral directly following at 5:00 PM at Gompf Funeral Home, 440 Center Street in Cardington with Brian Mounts officiating.

In lieu of flowers, consider a memorial contribution, if so desired, can be made to Gompf Funeral Home to assist the family with funeral expenses.
