Carolyn Reinhardt, age 79 of Mt. Gilead, died on Saturday, April 2, 2022, at the Marion General Hospital. She was born on February 17, 1943, in Nolan, West Virginia to the late John W. and Inez O. (Honaker) Deskins.
Carolyn had worked as a waitress for various mom and pop restaurants in Columbus as her children grew up. She enjoyed gardening and especially using her own flowers to make floral arrangements. Carolyn also loved dancing around the house and dabbled some in writing over the years.
Left to cherish Carolyn's memory is her daughter, Helena West of Mount Gilead; 3 siblings: Tim Deskins of Mount Gilead, Barbara Smith of West Virginia, and David "Dick" Deskins of Plain City; 7 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband, John Reinhardt; 3 children: James West, Karen West, and Renea Crumm and a brother, John Deskins.
It was Carolyn's wishes for no formal services at the time of her passing. Gompf Funeral Service of Cardington is honored to have been chosen to assist the Reinhardt family with her final wishes.
