Brenda Jo Muncy, beloved wife, sister, mother, and grandmother, age 77, of Jacksonville, Ohio formally of Cardington, left this world on January 27, 2025. Brenda was born on June 4, 1947, in Lenore, West Virginia to the late Clarence and Etta (Canterbury) Stepp.
Brenda spent her life dedicated to caring for others, working in the healthcare field as a nurse assistant, where her compassion and kindness touched the lives of many. For many years she was a member of Centerburg Freewill Batist Church.
Brenda found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved bowling with her sister and niece, cherished quiet moments on the front porch watching deer with loved ones, and had a passion for fishing. Throughout her life, Brenda traveled extensively and visited nearly every state in the U.S., a testament to her adventurous spirit, leaving only Alaska, Hawaii, and the New England States yet to be explored. Most of all Brenda loved spending her time with family.
Brenda is survived by her three loving daughters, Etta Tuttle, Amy Hood-Evans, and Debbie Wippel, as well as her devoted spouse, Roger Hayes and her stepchildren Rob, Becki and Bill. She is also remembered fondly by her brother, Jerry Stepp, sister, Edna Miller; her grandchildren: Marc, Matt, Megan, Ricky, LaEtta, Briana, Courtney, and Melinda; as well as ten great-grandchildren, her legacy of love and care will continue to live on in the hearts of her family, who will forever treasure the memories created together.
