Betty A. Osborn, age 88 of Marengo died Sunday, January 30, 2022, at her home. She was born on September 2, 1933, in Vanwert, Ohio to Carl and Gertrude (Mihm) Faulkner who preceded her in death.
Betty worked for Morning View Nursing Home for 20 years and then at Stop 36.
Betty was a member of Alum Creek Friends Church. She was a Girl Scout leader and a
4-H advisor. She was the Sunday School teacher at Fulton Nazarene and Alum Creek Friends Church. She was also known as, "Grandma Ace" the Gospel Clown.
On January 29, 1951, Betty married Roy Osborn and he survives in Marengo.
In addition to her husband Roy, Betty is survived by her children: Linda Carlisle of Marengo, Wanda Glenn of Cardington, and Evangeline (Kenneth) Hayes of Galion, three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, her brothers: Hubert Faulkner, Bobby Faulkner, and Carl Lee Jr. Faulkner.
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her granddaughter Bianca Coon and her sister Marjorie Hadding.
Friends may call on Wednesday, February 2, 2022, from 12:00 to 1:00 pm at Gompf Funeral Home, 440 Center Street in Cardington. The funeral service will directly follow at 1:00pm, with Pastor Brad Duncan officiating. Following the service, the burial will take place in the Alum Creek Cemetery.
