Barbara Eileen (Wright) Hansen

Barbara Eileen Hansen, age 78, of Barks Road East, Marion, passed away Saturday August 30, 2025, at her home. She was born on October 29, 1946, to the late Martin and Beulah Wright.

On September 29, 1973, she married the late Robert Louis Hansen who preceded her in death. Barbara graduated from Cardington High School in 1964 and went on to obtain her degree in Real Estate. She worked hard at various jobs over her career. While working she raised her sons Rodney Hansen and Bill Hansen.

During her lifetime Barbara was a member of the 64 Girls. This was a lifelong friends of the girls who graduated with Barbara, all 6 of them.

Additional survivors include her 2 sons and their wives, Rodney and Viktoriya Hansen of Ormond Beach, Fl and William and Shelley Hansen of Marion, Oh; 3 grandchildren Julia Hansen of Ormond Beach Florida, Jonathan Hansen and Miranda Hansen-Gatrell of Marion; 2 great-grandchildren Kara and Myles of Marion, OH and 1 brother Aaron (Sue) Wright of Prospect, Oh.

In addition to her parents and husband, Barbara was preceded in death by her brother Larry Wright.

Friends may call on Saturday, September 6, 2025, from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at Gompf Funeral Home, 440 Center Street in Cardington with the funeral directly following at 10:30 AM with Pastor Roger Sian officiating. Following the service, the burial will take place in the Fulton Cemetery.
