Annetta L. Lane, age 84 of Cardington passed away Tuesday, August 15, 2023, at Capris Gardens of Lewis Center. She was born on October 16, 1938, in Fairfield County to the late Roy and Mabel (Cupp) Spangler.
Annetta had worked at Gruman Bus Factory in Delaware for many years and in her later years worked at McDonald's in Dublin.
Annetta liked watching true crime T.V. shows, specifically Forensic Files.
She enjoyed bowling, going to bingo, as well as fishing and camping.
On July 4, 1961, Annetta married Bernie Lane and he preceded her in death in 1996.
Annetta is survived by children: Brenda (Milton) Pickens of Cardington, Bernie (Esther) Lane of Marion, and Barbara (Brian) Hall of Cardington, nine grandchildren: Shannon, Shawnna, Richard, Sheenna, Lane, Alexa, Elizabeth, Samantha, and Andrew; numerous great-grandchildren, as well as her two sisters Juanita (Curt) Larrison of Pataskala and Constance Sams of Columbus.
In addition to her parent and husband, Annetta was preceded in death by her son Richard James Lane II and her two sisters Doris Parsley and Phoebe Spangler.
Friends may call on Friday, August 18, 2023, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Gompf Funeral Home, 440 Center Street in Cardington with the funeral service directly following at 12:00 PM. Following the service, the burial will take place in the Glendale Union Cemetery.
