Anna L. Wheeler, loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, age 96, of Mount Gilead left this world Sunday, April 6, 2025, at Country Meadow. She was born on January 4, 1929, to the late Milton and Mary (Mullins) Branham.
For 17 years, Anna was an LPN at Morrow County Hospital. Her commitment to her patients and the nursing profession highlighted her caring spirit and compassion for those in need. She was a proud member of the Church of God, where she found strength and community throughout her life.
Anna's passions extended beyond her career; she found joy in taking care of her garden and canning, cultivating both beautiful blooms and delicious preserves that she shared with family and friends. Most of all, Anna's greatest pride and joy were her children and grandchildren.
On January 23, 1970, she married Dennie Wheeler in Mount Gilead, who preceded her in death.
Anna is survived by her loving children: Stephen Gullett of Mount Gilead, Richard (Elsie) Gullett of Texas, Nell Ruth Standafer of Huber Heights; fourteen grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; and siblings: Dale Branham and Mertyl Edwards.
In addition to her husband and parents, Anna was preceded in death by a son Jerry Gullett, and her siblings John Branham, Raymond Branham, Ronald Branham, Audrey Fay Branham Adams and Georgia Spike.
