William Francis Brion

William Francis “Bill” Brion, of Huber Heights, OH, died Friday Oct. 11, 2019 in the Miami Valley Hospital surrounded by his family. He was born May 21, 1938 in Liberty, PA to the late Floyd and Sara Grace Bailey Brion.

Bill retired from the U.S. Air Force after a 20 year career as a finance officer and Comptroller. He then worked as a Bureau Chief for Florida State Employee’s Insurance and Corporate Compliance Officer for United Church Homes. He was a member of the Fairview United Methodist Church.

Bill married and is survived the love of his life, the Reverend Jerrie Bell-Brion. William is also survived by a son; Gerard Allen Brion (Michaela): grandchildren Denise and Gerard Jr; siblings: S. Joyce Beaver, Rita (Jerry) Grimes, Sally (Mike) Manavel, Tom (Pat) Brion, Sidney (Susie) Brion. He was preceded in death by son Gerald Brion.

Family and friends may call on Thursday Oct. 17, 2019 from 4:00 till 5:30 PM at the Gompf Funeral Home, 440 Center Street in Cardington. Additional visitation will be from noon until the start of the funeral service at 1:00PM in the Sulphur Grove United Methodist Church, 7505 Taylorsville Rd., Huber Heights, OH on Friday Oct. 18th. Bill’s interment will be in the Dayton National Cemetery with full military honors.
