Scott E. White, age 54, of Cardington died May 10, 2019. He was born November 23, 1965 in Mt. Gilead. His father is Gene Varner who survives in Mt. Vernon and his mother is the late Ruth-Ann (Shonk) White.
Scott was a 1984 graduate of Cardington-Lincoln High School. He worked for Jerry-Moore Inc. as a well tender. Scott liked watching the kids play sports, NASCAR, and was an OSU football fan. He enjoyed eating at the Edison Depot and Bob Evans.
Scott is survived by his father, Gene Varner; Companion, Leslie Long; stepchildren, Paige Artz, Emalee Artz, and Bryan (Jessica) Donahue; two grandchildren and one on the way; siblings, Greg White of Cardington, Bob Varner of Mt. Gilead, Lisa Watson of Mt. Gilead, and Tammy Morningstar of Mt. Vernon; 2 nieces: Nicole Jordan and her son, Noah Jordan and Melody White.
A celebration of Scott’s life will be announced by Gompf Funeral Service in Cardington at a later date. Serving as honorary pall bearers will be Blake Clapham, Zach Meyers, Trent Crum, Ray VanHorn, Dale Mitchel and Chuck Cole.
