Richard D. Hickman Jr., age 79, formerly of Mount Gilead, died Sunday, August 19, 2018 at the Galion Community Hospital. He was born on June 7, 1939 in Mount Gilead to the late Richard D. Sr. and Virginia M. (Smiley) Hickman.

Richard had served his country honorably in the United States Army and had obtained the rank of Sargent E5 before his discharge in 1962. After his service in the Army, Richard moved to Long Beach, CA where he worked as a Florist for 23 years.

In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by 3 siblings: brother, Lawrence Hickman and sisters, Beverly & Linda Hickman.

Richard is survived by close friend Tammy Webber of Marion.

In observation of Richards wishes a private burial will take place in the Glendale Union Cemetery.
