Melba Irene Ware

Melba "Jane" Ware, age 83 of Mount Gilead passed early Thursday, February 8, 2018 at home. She was born on November 30, 1934 to the late Maxwell and Bessie (Modessit) Williston. Jane was a very loving and caring mother and wife. She was an avid gardener, who enjoyed reading a good book. On April 21, 1956 Jane married Elbern Ware in West Virginia. Elbern preceded Jane in death. Jane is survived by two children; Kathy Bowman of Mount Gilead, and Andy (Soni) Ware of Mount Gilead; and two grandchildren Nicholas and Ashley Ware. In addition to her parents and husband, Jane was preceded in death by two children; Terry Lee Ware and Doreen Gail Ware; and one brother; Arthur Lee Williston. Family will receive friends on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at the Stockert-Paletti Funeral Home, 378 Flatwoods Corner Road, Flatwoods, WV 26621 from 5-8 pm. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, February 11, 2018 at 2 pm with Pastor Earl Cayton officiating. Burial will take place in Greenhill Cemetery in West Virginia.
