Max Ramon Shrader

Max R. Shrader, age 78 of Cardington died Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. He was born on May 15, 1939 to the late Earl and Esther (Weise) Schrader. Max was a 1957 graduate of Harding High School. He went on to work for Whirlpool for 41 years, where he worked 15 years in their maintenance department. Max was a life member of the North American Hunting Club. Max is survived by three daughters; Judy Castle of Cardington, Tammy Scott of Marion, and Gina Kaple of Cardington; one sister; Holly Gilbert of Marion; 12 grandchildren; Tiffany Wilson, Stephanie Shrader, Christopher Shrader, Dustin Shrader, Cassie Shrader, Alyssa Shrader, Anita Ludwig, Tirza Hitzges, Jessica Duprey, Kit Scott, Katrinia Benjamin, and Michael Benjamin and numerous great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Max was preceded in death by two sons; Bruce and Mark Shrader; three siblings; Gene Shrader, Dennis Shrader, and Linda Belt. Max's first wife Paula (Davis) preceded him in death on August 14, 1980. Friends may call on Monday, March 12, 2018 from 12:00 to 2:00 pm at Gompf Funeral Home, 440 Center Street in Cardington. The funeral service will be held immediately following at 2:00 pm. Following the service, the burial will take place in the Fulton Cemetery.
