Mary VanSickle Obituary

Mary Faye VanSickle, age 95 formerly of Cardington died Thursday, October 11, 2018 at Willow Brook Christian Village in Delaware.  She was born on April 20, 1923 to the late Olin and Lois (Hunter) McMillan.

 

Mary Faye was a school teacher. She was a graduate of Ohio State University in 1944. Mary Faye was a member of Reveille Club, Morrow County Retired Teachers Asscoiation and the First United Methodist Church of Cardington. She was also involved with the OSU Extension Office for 5 years.

 

On April 6, 1951, Mary Faye married Robert VanSickle in Marion, who preceded her in death on March 5, 2009.

 

 Mary Faye is survived by her children: R. Smythe (M.J.) VanSickle of Grove City, Veda (Robert) Williams of Marion, Dorothy (Larry) Thomas of Cardington, and Craig (Sonia) VanSickle of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; 11 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

 

In addition to her husband and parents, Mary Faye was preceded in death by a sister, Harriet Halter and a grandson, Kris VanSickle.

 

A private family service will be held Friday, October 26, 2018 at the Glendale Cemetery in Cardington.
