Marlene A. Pearl, age 77 of Fulton died Thursday, April 5, 2018 at home surrounded by her family. She was born on February 19, 1941 to the late James and Mary (Ramsey) Mattingly. Marlene was cable maker for 9 years at North Electric. She ran an Installation School and owned C.T.I. Installation Company. Marlene worked for 16 years doing telecommunication installation for several contractors. She was employed at Seniors on Center. Marlene enjoyed gardening, flowers, birds, and cooking. But most of all she loved her family. On June 16, 1956 Marlene married Gene Pearl in Columbia City, Indiana and survives in Fulton. In addition to her husband, Marlene is survived by a daughter, Teena (Max) Rowe of Lexington and a son, David Pearl of Mt. Gilead; 4 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, 2 step-granddaughters and 6 step-great-grandchildren; siblings: Sandra Lanum of Cardington, Alice Punkansky of Mt. Gilead, Jim (Marie) Mattingly of Naples, FL, Tom Mattingly of Cardington, and Linda Toth of Seabring, FL. Friends may call on Monday, April 9, 2018 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm with the funeral beginning at 3:00 pm at Gompf Funeral Home, 440 Center Street in Cardington with Chaplain Jeff Slider officiating. Following the service the burial will take place in the Fulton Cemetery.
