Jeri Alaine (Taylor) Mahaffey

Jeri A. Mahaffey, age 63 of Cardington went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at her home surrounded by her loved ones.  She was born on March 31, 1955 to Shelby (Mullins) Taylor who survives in Mount Gilead. 

Jeri was a homemaker.  She enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Jeri also enjoyed sewing, baking, gardening and visiting festivals. She attended church regularly until she got sick. Jeri was deeply rooted in her faith.

On April 9, 1971, Jeri married her high school sweetheart, Rick Mahaffey in Cardington. He survives in Cardington.

In addition to her husband and mother, Jeri is survived by her children Tracy Mahaffey of Cardington and Tammy Mahaffey of Mt. Gilead; 4 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; a brother, James (Debbie) Taylor of Marengo and 3 sisters: Carla (Rick) Lanum of Marengo, Danielle (Jeff) Webb and Paula Powell both of Cardington.
