Eugene Rush Fegley

Eugene R. Fegley, 96, of Delaware Ohio and formerly of Cardington Ohio, passed away on December 28, 2017. Eugene was born Oct 12, 1921 to Carl Fegley and Mary Elizabeth (Levings) Fegley. Eugene was a Conductor for the Pennsylvania Railroad and a Farmer for 43 Years. His passion was farming, working with wood, and his Church family. Eugene was loved by many and his smile and humor will be missed. In 1941, Eugene married his childhood sweetheart, Eleanor J. (Hayes) Fegley of 76 years. Eugene is survived by his wife Eleanor, 17 Grandchildren, 24 Great-Grandchildren and 9 Children: Cleora Martin (Allan) of Tampa, Florida; Mary Ary (Ken) of Marysville, Ohio; Karen Patten (Robert) of Cardington, Ohio; Joyce Cooper (Harold) of Prospect, Ohio; David Fegley of Marion, Ohio; Rebecca Gornall (Gene) of Delaware, Ohio; Brenda Clingerman (Tim) of Gahanna, Ohio; Elizabeth Long (Eddie) of Hamilton, Ohio; Cheryl Iles (Neil) of Upper Sandusky, Ohio. Eugene is preceded in death by his parents, Carl Fegley and Mary Elizabeth Levings Fegley; daughter Janney Fegley; brother Raymond C. Fegley; sisters Betha, Vilot and Vivian Marie. Visiting and viewing hours will be held on Wednesday January 3rd, 2018 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the New Hope Baptist Church. 74 Wootring Street Delaware, Ohio 43015 with the funeral service being held directly after the viewing at 12:00pm. A private burial will take place in Glendale Union Cemetery in Cardington.
