Donald Doty Obituary

Donald D. Doty, age 91 of Cardington died Thursday, July 5, 2018 at Presidential Nursing Center. He was born on October 11, 1926 to the late Charles and Mabel (Williams) Doty. Donald worked at Westinghouse for 10 years as a truck driver and then at Stahl's. Later he was employed by the Village of Cardington where he worked for the street department and served as the Street Commissioner. Don will be best remembered for his 23 years of fixing lawn mowers in his repair shop on Morgan Street. Donald is survived by a sister, Veola Kibler of Marion, two sister-in-laws, Myrtle Doty and Belva Doty, one niece, five nephews and two great-nephews. In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by two brothers, Carlyle Doty and Franklin Doty. Friends may call on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 from 10:00 AM until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 AM at Gompf Funeral Home, 440 Center Street in Cardington. Following the funeral service, the burial will take place in the Fulton Cemetery.
