Dennis H. “Buck “Oiler, age 63, of Mt. Gilead died Wednesday Sept. 19, 2018. He was born Jan. 20, 1955 in Marion to Charles H. Oiler and Patsy J. (Trivette) Coffman.
Buck attended Marion Harding High School and then served his country in the U.S. Army. He had worked as a “hustler” at Marion Power Shovel, a team leader at Honda, and part time for Showplace in Marion. Buck was an avid Harley rider and was a member of H.O.G.G, the NRA and attended Abundant Life in Marion. He loved working on cars and motorcycles.
Buck had experienced a lot of trials and tribulations over the years, but always came out on top because of his fighting nature and determination. He was also able to donate his Cornea’s through body donation to help another person.
Buck is survived by his spouse of 22 years, Barb; daughters, Cassie (Sonny Wiseman) Oiler of Columbus and Char Oiler of Marion; 4 grandchildren; sister, Connie Young of Wellston, several nieces and nephews and Cat- Little Patrol.
In addition to his parents, Buck was preceded in death by his sister Kim Pickens.
Friends may call on Friday Sept. 28, 2018 from 5:00 until 7:00PM at the Gompf Funeral Home, 440 Center St. in Cardington where the funeral service will be held on Saturday at 10:00 AM with Pastor Doug Ford. Buck’s burial will follow the service in the Fulton Cemetery with full military honors.
