Daniel J. Longstreth, age 53 of Marion, died July 28, 2019. He was born on December 28, 1965, in Delaware to the late George F. and Susie M. (Christian) Longstreth.
Dan was a 1984 graduate of Delaware Hayes High School. He later went on to work various jobs throughout his life. Daniel was a member of both the Shepherd’s Fellowship Church and the Hands of Hope Church. He enjoyed watching and playing sports and coaching Tyler’s basketball team. He loved music and played drums in the Praise Band at church. He liked Martial Arts and took lessons. He enjoyed nature and the outdoors and loved to hunt. Dan will always be remembered for his great sense of humor and was always joking around.
Dan is survived by 3 children: Kayla (Chase) Ayers of Charleroi, PA, Tyler Longstreth of Marion and Nathan Longstreth of Marion; step-son, Trey Kinney of Marion; 7 siblings: Karen Longstreth of Mt Vernon, Kate Willis of Delaware, Rick (Elaine) Longstreth, of Cardington, Mike (Paula) Longstreth of Richwood, Cheryl (Zane) Layman of Delaware, Brent (Leslie) Longstreth of Marion, and Tina (Dewey) Berry of Delaware; many nieces and nephews.
Two celebrations of Dan’s life will be held, the first on Saturday, August 3, 2019 at 1:00 PM at the Shepherd’s Fellowship Church, 1647 Marion-Marysville Road, Marion, Ohio 43302. A second celebration will be held on Saturday, August 10, 2019 at 1:00 PM at the Homestead of Radnor, 2866 State Route 203 Radnor, Ohio 43066. Pastor Brent Longstreth will officiate at the service.
