Curtis L. Curtis, age 60 of Cardington went home to be with the Lord Saturday, October 27, 2018 after a courageous 20-year battle with his health. He was born in Mount Gilead on October 20, 1958 to the late Lloyd and Mildred (Davis) Curtis.
Curtis was a 1976 graduate of Cardington Lincoln High School. After high school he worked for HPM for 15 years and would later work for General Mills/Pillsbury until retirement. Curtis attended the First United Methodist Church. He was a huge fan of music, spending a lot of time at Legends Records in Mount Gilead, and collecting albums, often listening to them too loudly. Curtis loved to travel, as well as building and tinkering with things. His children were his greatest passion.
On April 29, 1989, Curtis married the love of his life Julia (Cole) in Marion. Julia survives in Cardington.
In addition to his wife, Curtis is survived by two children Austin and Aubrey Curtis of Cardington; and three siblings, Sharon (Greg) Strain of Mogadore, Jim (Tori) Curtis of Columbus and Connie Curtis- Roberts of Sandusky.
In addition to his parents, Curtis was preceded in death by a sister Bonnie Galeazzi.
Friends may call on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at Gompf Funeral Home, 440 Center Street in Cardington. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at the funeral home at 1:00 pm with Pastor Paul Turner officiating. Following the service, the burial will take place in the Glendale Cemetery.
