Christopher Clay Montgomery

Christopher C. Montgomery, age 48 of Cardington passed away Saturday, January 13, 2018 at home surrounded by his family. He was born on June 25, 1969 to the late Dewey and Esther (Asbury) Montgomery. Christopher was a 1989 graduate of Delaware Hayes High School. After school he had a 20-year career in law enforcement, working for both Delaware and Morrow County. Christopher was an outdoorsman, he enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing. He had a passion for tinkering with cars. Christopher was a man of God, he loved attending church at Christ the King Worship Center in Delaware. He was a family man, who liked nothing more than to be with his loved ones. Christopher was also a great cook. On September 14, 1988, Christopher married Rebecca Foley in Delaware. Rebecca survives in Cardington. In addition to his loving wife, Christopher is survived by four children; Kristina (Jason Weaver) Montgomery of Galion, Christopher II (Brynne) Montgomery of Columbus, Amanda (Kyle) Thompson of Cardington, and Cody (Morgan Bailey) Montgomery of Cardington; four siblings; Emmalee (Scott) Eagon of Delaware, Pauline Montgomery-Daniels of Cardington, Dewey (Mary) Montgomery of Cardington, and John Montgomery of Cardington; and two grandchildren; Easton and Waylon. Friends may call on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 from 4:00 to 8:00pm at Christ the King Worship Center, 4701 U.S. Highway 23 N, Delaware, OH 43015. The funeral service will be held Thursday, January 18, 2018 at Christ the King Worship Center at 10:00 am with Pastor Andy Freeman officiating. Following the service, the burial will take place in the Glendale Cemetery.
